SHOT 2/4/12 10:57:00 AM - A statue of Steamboat local Billy Kidd at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort greets skiers daily. Due to injuries, Kidd retired from pro racing in 1972. He relocated to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in 1970 and has since been identified with the Steamboat Ski Resort, where he continues to serve as its director of skiing. During the winter months, guests can ski free with Billy every day and get ski tips, instruction and stories about the Olympics and skiing. The city of Steamboat Springs, Co. is a Home Rule Municipality that is the county seat and the most populous city of Routt County, Colorado, United States. The city is an internationally known winter ski resort destination.
