SHOT 11/29/2007 - U.S. skier Bode Miller catches air off the Red Tail jump during the downhill run of the Men's Super Combined at the 2007/08 Charles Schwab Birds of Prey ski race in Beaver Creek, Co. The event was won by Swiss skier Daniel Albrecht (2:00.26) with French skier Jean-Baptiste Grange finishing second (2:00.93) and Czech skier Ondrej Bank finishing third ((2:01.23). US skier Bode Miller finished just out of the medals in fourth (2:01.28) and Ted Ligety finished eighth (2:01.67). Thomas (TJ) Lanning finished tenth (2:01.89). Miller, always a controversial figure in skiing, quit the U.S. Ski Team in the offseason to race on his own. Miller didn't place in the top three in any of the events in Beaver Creek this year..(Photo by Marc Piscotty/ © 2007)
