SHOT 10/25/2007 - The Colorado Rockies have long been the forgotten team in the Denver sports landscape taking a back seat to the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and even the Denver Nuggets. After putting together an historic late season run to make the playoffs and sweeping their way through the NLDS and NLCS fans have jumped on the Rockies bandwagon in droves and interest is at an all time high as the World Series heads to Denver, Co. for the first time ever this Saturday even with the Boston Red Sox up 2-0 in the series. Crowds of Rockies fans and even cabbies take in the action of Game 2 at Skyline Park in Downtown Denver Thursday evening. Denver's parks department says it will show all the games on a 40 foot inflatable big screen projection television in Skyline Park, starting Wednesday. All games, including the three played in Denver this weekend, will be shown. Vendors will be selling hot dogs and refreshments but otherwise the event is free. .(Photo by Marc Piscotty © 2007)
