SHOT 10/25/2007 - The Colorado Rockies have long been the forgotten team in the Denver sports landscape taking a back seat to the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and even the Denver Nuggets. After putting together an historic late season run to make the playoffs and sweeping their way through the NLDS and NLCS fans have jumped on the Rockies bandwagon in droves and interest is at an all time high as the World Series heads to Denver, Co. for the first time ever this Saturday even with the Boston Red Sox up 2-0 in the series. Rockies' fan Sammy Khakame (left) of Denver makes his way to the cash register to pay for a Yorvit Torrealba jersey he was buying for his wife at Sportsfan in Denver after being helped by Mark Barton (right). The store is located across the street from Coors Field and Barton is actually a Red Sox fan working at the store..(Photo by Marc Piscotty © 2007)
